Living Out the Call: Alumni Ministries in Action

What an incredible time of connection, celebration, and inspiration we had at the Clarkston Bible Institute Alumni meeting on April 27, 2025! It was powerful to hear directly from our graduates about how God is using them to spread the Gospel and serve diverse communities around the world! We kicked off by hearing from Leonard Mkossa, a proud graduate from our very first CBI class! Leonard, who was a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, carries a deep burden for ministering to refugees. He shared about his trip to Tanzania in 2021, where, despite COVID restrictions preventing him from entering the camp, he still connected with 77 refugees! But that's not all – Leonard, alongside Aaron Warren from our fifth class, attended a "Perspectives" course, sparking a friendship and leading them to start a non-profit organization called Refugees Missionaries Corporation! Their inspiring vision of the is "To preach the Gospel worldwide to reach refugees who have never heard about Jesus Christ!" What a testimony to the global impact of CBI training!

Next up, we heard from Dragon Stone, who graduated from our fourth class. Dragon is making a real difference by focusing his CBI training on the youth within his church. Get this – he meets with as many as 30 youth every single week! Praise God for leaders pouring into the next generation!

Speaking of impact, Aaron Warren from our fifth class shared how he's been leveraging his administrative skills! Not only did he help Leonard launch Refugees Missionaries Corporation, but he's also been assisting Daniel Grissom (Class 4) with his weekly ministry, "Fathers Walk", helping Terry with Clarkston Bible Institute itself, and is deeply involved in his church's missions ministry! Aaron truly embodies the spirit of serving and supporting others in ministry!

Finally, we received an update from Peter Na, a graduate from our third class, who has been serving Burmese refugees in Thailand for the past couple of years. Peter's ministry is expansive, including weekly ministry to displaced children and people, and a strong desire for a Bible Summer Camp. Just two weeks ago, Hsaw Reh (Class 4) joined him, and together they conducted a youth camp attended by a phenomenal 200 youth! The most exciting news? Forty-three young people were baptized at the camp! Peter is also actively involved in church planting and has been training 6 men who are now his disciples and ready to continue the work. Peter currently faces the challenge of getting his visa renewed. If he must return to the USA, the call is out to pray for God's intervention for the visa, for the discipleship of the 43 newly baptized youth, and for the 6 men he has trained to carry on the ministry. If Peter is unable to obtain a Visa that will allow him to remain in Thailand, he has expressed his desire to return at least once a year spent time with the believers and to help facilitate an annual Bible based summer camp.

The stories shared were powerful reminders of the critical need for trained spiritual leaders and the incredible work our CBI alumni are doing in diverse communities near and far. It was a truly inspiring gathering that left us all energized for the harvest!
