From Refugee to Disciple Maker

At Clarkston Bible Institute, our mission is to Engage, Equip, and Entrust spiritual leaders within culturally diverse environments. We are incredibly proud to share a new video featuring two of our very own alumni, whose lives and ministries serve as a powerful testament to the impact of the training they received at Clarkston Bible Institute.

A Testimony of Transformation

The below video features the journey of a Clarkston Bible Institute graduate from Myanmar, illustrating the shift from cultural Christianity to a vibrant, personal faith. In many refugee communities, individuals may identify as Christian by family tradition without ever truly hearing the Gospel. For these two alumni, their lives were transformed after hearing that salvation is found by grace through faith—a core truth they now share with others.

Living Out the Call

Our graduates are currently serving in diverse global ministries, demonstrating the effectiveness of the theological foundation and practical ministry experience provided at Clarkston Bible Institute. This video highlights how these alumni are "Living Out the Call" by using accessible tools to multiply the church:

• The Three Cycle: A simple framework they translated from English to help young believers lead house churches or small groups without needing a formal seminary degree.
• Storytelling & Pictures: To reach those who cannot read or write, our alumni use pictures and storytelling to make the Word of God easier to memorize and share.
• Multiplying Leaders: Following the principle of 2 Timothy 2:2, they focus on finding FAT leaders—those who are Faithful, Available, and Teachable—to ensure the Gospel continues to spread.

Faithfulness Amidst Hardship

The stories shared by these alumni are marked by incredible resilience and sacrifice From surviving military oppression and bombings in the jungles of Myanmar to navigating the challenges of materialism and cultural barriers in America, their commitment to the Great Commission remains unshaken. One alumnus recounts a miraculous survival after a tree fell on him during a bombing raid—a moment that became a powerful testimony to his students that "God is alive".

The Impact of Training at Clarkston Bible Institute

Over the years, we have seen dozens of faithful leaders like the ones in this video go out to serve. We truly believe that training ethnic pastors and future church leaders is the best way to reach the millions of people who still need to hear the Gospel. It is such a blessing to see our graduates spreading hope and serving different communities all around the world.

• 07 NOV 2026: Clarkson Bible Institute will mark its 10-year anniversary at Clarkston International Bible Church (CIBC). Dinner will begin at 6:00 PM. Save the date for a night of praise, student testimonies, and special performances!

🎒 Current Needs & Prayer Requests

🙏🏼Prayer Points:

• For Myanmar: Protection for our students and faculty in Yangon as they navigate political instability and conscription threats.

• For Clarkston: For peace, dignity, and flourishing among the diverse refugee and immigrant families in the local Clarkston community.

• For Faculty and Teachers: Pray that God will bring at least two more teachers to join the Clarkston Bible Institute faculty who share our heart and vision. As an answer to prayer, we are adding a new teacher.
  For Uganda: Pray for safety, health protection from Ebola, and economic relief for Daniel and the families he ministers to.

💲Financial Needs:

• Student Scholarships: We are actively seeking Life Change Partners who will help us provide funding for our Student Scholarships, particularly for our incoming international students from Myanmar. Our tuition for the year is $1,500. However, the students living in Myanmar do not have funds to pay tuition. These tuition funds ensure our intensive training remains fully accessible to those called to lead.
